Gympie in Flood

Many of Gympie’s biggest floods took place during the early part of the year.

The 1893 flood which was the biggest on record had 2 flood peaks in early-mid February a week apart.

Other notable floods were 1898,1955, 1999, 2011, 2013.

The first recorded flood took place in 1870.
