The Gold Fields Bill was tabled in the Legislative Assembly in order to regulate the Gold Fields of Queensland.
The first reading in the Legislative Assembly, Queensland Parliament of the Gold Fields Bill occurred on 2 June 1869. The second reading occurred on Wednesday 21 July. A third amendment was tabled in August. This amendment was “negatived on division” but the Bill was Put before the House and Passed.
