The Cherry Venture

The Cherry Venture was a 1600 ton cargo ship of Scandinavian origin which ran aground on Teewah Beach on 6 July 1973. It became a tourist attraction and over the years rusted away. The final remnants were removed in 2007 although bits of the Cherry Venture come to the surface to this day.
