Note: the above… “in honour of New Year’s Day and the Land of the Corn Bunns” for the “Grand Scotch Night”. Oatmeal cakes were behind the naming of Scotland as the ‘Land of Cakes’ (or in this case ‘Land of the Corn Bunns’. Oats were a staple crop of Scotland.
